Redwood Empire CAMFT invites you to make a donation to the
Healthcare Foundation's Wildfire Mental Health Collaborative
RECAMFT has partnered with the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County to raise funds for the Wildfire Mental Health Collaboration, of which RECAMFT is a part. These funds will be used to provide mental health services to fire survivors who are without resources, and need access to mental health services.
The first step in our collaboration has been the creation of a website - MySonomaStrong.com. This site offers a first step for someone thinking about mental health services, and wondering if their symptoms might be related to the wildfire trauma. The site is available in English and Spanish.
The second step has been training a large community of mental health providers in Skills for Psychological Recovery. Once trained, these people will be able to go into the community and speak at public events, educating people about the symptoms of an ongoing traumatic reaction, and ways to cope.
NAMI has created a Warmline for people to call or online chat, through support of the Healthcare Foundation. They have an extensive listing of therapists willing to provide mental health services to fire survivors.
We encourage our members, and community citizens who are able, to consider making a one-time, or on-going donation to Healthcare Foundation, ear-marked for the Wildfire Mental Health Collaborative.
Thank you for your investment in our community!
