SHORT Description
I work to assist families to benefit all members. We often fall into automatic reactions & behaviors. Once aware we can become more responsible in the family, and more free as individuals.
LONG Description
Anxious? depressed? experiencing marital strains? struggling with parenting issues? unsure of self? I provide brief therapy for urgent problems, or longer-term work for long-lasting problems. My clients also seek help w other relationship difficulties, behavior problems, work issues, grief, or issues related to advancing years.
We're all part of a family, our family of origin and/or our nuclear family. The heart of my work is assisting families to benefit all members. With focus, patience and effort, you can identify and change behavior patterns that cause difficulties. One person makes a difference.
Shaped by our families, it's easy to fall into automatic emotional reactions and predictable behavior patterns. Becoming aware of these instinctive patterns, one can make changes, and not only become more responsible in the family, but also, paradoxically, grow emotionally more free as individuals.
I work with people who want to understand the behavior of self and others. Those with motivation and influence in a family, are ideal clients. Though they are often not the person with symptoms, spouses, mothers, fathers, and grandparents all can make changes that affect everyone, including those with symptoms.
