LONG Description
I create a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My goal is to help you break free from negative patterns, fostering deeper connection, clarity, and joy in your life. My approach is integrative and relational, rooted in a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strength-based framework. I tailor my work to meet your unique needs, ensuring that the therapeutic journey aligns with your unique goals for healing and growth.
I draw on a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, including Attachment Theory, Family Systems, Mindfulness practices, and Multicultural perspectives. My work also incorporates modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Ecotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Many clients appreciate my caring and playful demeanor, as well as my sensitivity to cultural diversity.
My focus is to meet you where you are with respect and authenticity so we can work together toward transformative and lasting change. Often, we struggle to see the emotional barriers or negative patterns that hold us back. Through our work together, we can uncover what’s keeping you stuck, allowing you to break free and move toward a life of fulfillment and thriving.
Throughout my life, education, and work in both mental health and sustainability, I have developed a deep respect for the diverse experiences that shape each individual. Exposure to various cultures has strengthened my belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. My experiences working with underserved communities have deepened my commitment to social justice and equality. As a therapist, I believe it’s essential to explore how systems of power, privilege, and oppression influence mental health and relationships. By addressing these dynamics, I aim to foster resilience, healing, and empowerment for individuals and communities.
I am a member of The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). Outside of my professional life, I am a proud mom, wife, musician, jewelry designer, and outdoor enthusiast who loves hot yoga, hiking, and paddle boarding.
