LONG Description
I have a private practice in Santa Rosa and previously worked at Verity with survivors and family members of survivors of sexual assault and violence. In addition, I see Veterans struggling with PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma. I have experience in working with children, teens, and adults, and am drawn to addressing trauma and racial/cultural identity. I am also bilingual and can speak Vietnamese fluently.
I believe all healing begins with compassion and connection, which is why I strive to provide a safe space where clients can begin to bear the unbearable by having me be a witness to their truth. Through attentive and empathic listening, I ask clients to reflect on thoughts and emotions that may touch on core wounds. I aid clients with tolerating painful emotions as they arise and to recognize their strengths when facing darkness.
I also draw from various approaches, with a focus on mindfulness — to help clients not only reduce symptoms of trauma, depression and anxiety, but uncover the underlying reasons that may be causing these symptoms. I often use play and art therapy in my work with children and teens as a way to communicate and build healthy coping skills. While each session is tailored to a client’s needs, I am always working to empower clients to address the unknown and make meaningful changes in their lives.
Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions.
