RECAMFT Privacy Protection Statement

On March 27, 2015, the Board of Directors reconsidered the policy of selling contact information of RECAMFT members to interested outside parties.

It was decided that protecting the privacy of its members was of paramount importance to RECAMFT.  Contact information provided by members to RECAMFT will remain protected and not available for sale.

In keeping with the mission statement of RECAMFT, member contact information will continue to be used within the organization to “offer professional networking, educational activities and events for the membership.”  Members can continue to expect timely notice through newsletter, e-blast, list serve, etc., of current and upcoming events (unless otherwise requested) from RECAMFT planning committees.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you join or renew your membership with RECAMFT and when you change or add to your practice information. Information is also collected when you sign up for a conference. You may also visit our site anonymously to check on conferences, workshops, newsletters and the Find a Local Therapist section.

What do we use your information for?

Information we collect from you may be used in one or the following ways:

• You are able to update your private practice information online for the public to view (you may choose to block this if you wish)

• To assist member services (we track who and how many people will be attending upcoming conferences as well as who is current and who is due regarding membership fees)

• To process transactions

Your credit card information is not stored on our website and will never be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of paying for membership fees and conference registrations requested by you

• To send periodic emails

The email address you provide is used to send you confirmations of payments you have made and to inform you of upcoming RECAMFT workshops and conferences along with a few occasional special announcements.

Note. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, there is a link we include to unsubscribe at the bottom of each email.

How do we protect your information?

All payment pages are protected by 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Encryption through Wild apricot. Authorize.Net, which handles the financial transactions also utilizes industry-leading technologies and protocols including (SSL) and are compliant with a number of government and industry security initiatives.

Do we use cookies?

We do not use cookies.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

As RECAMFT is a chapter of CAMFT, CAMFT requires us on a yearly basis to share the names of all the members of RECAMFT to make sure that they are also members of CAMFT.

When each person joins RECAMFT their personal and practice information is stored and protected by Wild Apricot’s SSL security. Only your practice information is made available to the public and other members. This is the same information available on the licensing page of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences’ state website. As of March 2015 people and agencies are no longer able to purchase mailing labels with your public practice information. Each member is further able to choose to block this information from appearing on our website, in our published directory or on our mailing labels.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal information. This does not include trusted third parties (Wild Apricot who hosts our website and Authorize.net which processes our transactions) who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties also agree to keep your personal information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
