LONG Description
My experience began with inpatient services at Metropolitan State Hospital. I transitioned to school-based counseling services and supported youth through groups, individual services, play therapy, parenting classes, classroom workshops, and curriculum development. I sat in on all of my client’s IEP meetings, discussing the mental health impact in a school setting. Transitioning into clinic work, I began working in a local non-profit organization in Los Angeles. I supported underserved clients in Long Beach, Compton, Wilmington, San Pedro, and surrounding areas, providing home and school visits and meeting families in their communities. Moving to Sonoma County, I worked as a county employee and was deployed as a disaster relief worker during the October 2017 wildfires. I supervised the co-directors of Social Advocates for Youth, assisted local non-profits with trainings in integrating best practices and therapeutic interventions, sat on the board of CALAPT for 8 years, and currently own and operate Bridges to Understanding Family Therapy Services, opened in 2014 and located in Healdsburg. I supervise clinicians as well as am a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. We are paneled with Sutter/Optum, Western Health Advantage, Cigna, Carelon/PHP, and are out-of-network providers for Blue Shield PPO and others. We offer private pay and sliding scale when necessary, and provide Superbills. We offer telehealth as well as in-person sessions.
