LONG Description
My work as a therapist is supported by training (certification) in the Hakomi method of mindfulness based, somatic therapy, as well as my life experience and 40+ years of Buddhist practice. I will support you in developing greater self-awareness as well as balance of body-mind-spirit. You may find yourself stuck in old patterns, following a familiar path that no longer leads where you want to go in your life. A new path may be less familiar and more work, requiring you to clear away rocks and branches. It can be helpful to have a guide – someone who is holding the map, the flashlight, and who has your back. I can be that guide, supporting you in moving along new paths, leading to improved relationships, greater self esteem, reduced anxiety and healing from trauma. Our work can bring more satisfaction and enjoyment into your life. Often people anticipate therapy as a difficult process. While this can be true, I have also found that healing can take place in an atmosphere of playfulness and creativity. I will support finding a balance that feels right.Feel free to contact me for a brief initial phone consultation.I see clients during the week and on Saturdays.
