LONG Description
Therapy Relationship

Working with me will be empowering, energetic, and at times fun. I will help you to grieve losses, heal wounds, celebrate successes and reimagine your future.

We will collaborate on appropriate goals, useful assignments, and reading suggestions that support growth, wellness, and awareness.

Our therapeutic relationship will be utilized to explore relationship patterns and repetition of problematic roles. Together, we will adjust our work and goals to help you become the best version of yourself.

By exploring current and past interpersonal issues, while acknowledging and uncovering early relationship patterns, you will be able to choose healthier roles and build a life with you in the driver’s seat.
Training and Experience

BA in Psychology and Minor in Child Development - San Jose State University

MA - Integral Counseling Psychology - California Institute of Integral Studies, SF

While collecting hours needed to sit for licensing exam, I worked at The Stonewall Project / UCSF which is a harm reduction program for gay men using methamphetamine and other drugs. Here I helped to revitalized a website called Tweaker.org, and managed a training program for peer educators and organized workshops between HIV organizations in SF.

UCSF / Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) - Gay Men's Couple's Study - Bay Men Project - The Balance Project. Pilot interventions examining the efficacy of counseling and skills training, with a target goal of decreasing HIV risk practices of gay, Bi and transgender subjects.

2005 to 2010 - San Francisco Private practice working with individuals and couples.

2004-2013 - United Behavioral Health Care Advocate. Insurance utilization review of outpatient, day treatment, and inpatient services. Worked with consumers and providers to determine and advocate for the appropriate level of care of insured services.

Since 2012, I have been a therapist at Sonoma County Behavioral Health - Crisis Stabilization Unit (aka Psychiatric Emergency).

2015 Metta Institute Graduate and certified End of Life Practitioner.
