LONG Description
My clinical foundation is trauma-informed and attachment-based. I am a Certified NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) therapist, trained in a depth-oriented approach to developmental trauma that understands survival strategies—such as over-responsibility, emotional numbing, perfectionism, and self-denial—not as pathology, but as intelligent adaptations to early environments.
In addition to my work with complex and relational trauma (including experience as a Lead Clinician serving families involved in the foster care system), I specialize in supporting adults navigating hereditary cancer risk, genetic testing, and cancer diagnoses. Medical crises often activate longstanding attachment patterns and survival styles. I work relationally and somatically to help high-functioning clients organize anxiety, grief, and identity disruption so that medical decision-making can emerge from agency rather than fear.
My background also includes hospice social work and grief counseling, which deeply informs my understanding of anticipatory loss, ambiguous grief, and intergenerational impact.
I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ communities and am a trans-affirming therapist.
Across all areas of my practice, my orientation is collaborative, direct, and depth-oriented. I support clients in cultivating embodied self-awareness so they can move beyond survival mode and into greater authenticity, connection, and internal freedom.
