LONG Description
I provide counseling to people going through life transitions such as divorce, career change, losing jobs, losing loved ones, geographical relocations, aging and retirement, and dealing with physical and mental illnesses. I work well with People of Color, Multiracial individuals, Queerness, and gender fluidity; across generational and immigrant experiences. One of my areas of focus is to work with people who have experienced hearing voices, visual hallucinations, and symptoms of psychosis. My approach is to connect with my clients to see their world together without pathologizing the individuals’ experiences. I also provide college and career counseling to high school and college students. Here, I am passionate about providing flexible counseling styles and topics (family issues such as 1st and 2nd generation communication issues, understanding academic issues, financial literacy and career counseling) to accommodate students’ needs to help them boost their self-esteem. In every area of my counseling, it is important for me to apply social justice perspective including anti-racism and gender role equality.
