LONG Description
I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, specializing in trauma, depression, anxiety, immigration issues, men's issues, life transitions, grief, and relationship problems. My approach is grounded in understanding how unconscious patterns shape your emotional life.
My approach
I start by building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel understood and cared for. I believe much of what causes deep emotional pain exists just beyond awareness, in the unconscious mind. By integrating our relationship, my training, and openness to new approaches, I support you in finding a more fulfilling life.
My focus
I work extensively with underserved and underrepresented folks from various backgrounds. I treat complex trauma, sexual abuse, self-harm, depression, anxiety, identity issues, men's issues, emotional codependency, stress-induced concerns, life transitions, and relationship problems.
My communication style
You will never be judged for who you are or what you have to say. All parts of you are welcome, no matter how difficult they feel to bring forward. I work through a trauma-informed lens, so providing a sense of safety always takes precedence in our work together.
My journey to mental healthcare
Becoming a therapist parallels my own wellness journey. I recognized early on how this work offers opportunities to learn about myself while helping others understand themselves. At the core, my decision reflects my belief that mental, emotional, spiritual, and behavioral health are fundamental to wellbeing and quality of life.
My goals for you
We will work together to craft a treatment plan that best addresses your needs. Developing a course of treatment generally happens in the first few sessions, but I will never rush you in clarifying what you hope to address in therapy.
