LONG Description
Life has led me to many cities, countries and jobs. No matter the context, I have found myself cultivating relationships, creating welcoming spaces for reflection and encouraging others to see themselves, and the world, more clearly. I have over six years of experience providing both individual and group therapy in a variety of settings. I work via telehealth or walk-and-talk therapy. I have significant experience working with young adults, fathers, athletes and those navigating concerns particular to religious faith. At this time, I do not accept any forms of insurance.
Prior to opening my own practice, I spent five years developing and managing a mental health program at VOICES Youth Center in Santa Rosa, working primarily with 18-25 year-olds with significant mental health challenges. Before that I held social worker stints at San Francisco General Hospital's Mental Health Rehabilitation Center and the Yolo County Public Defender's Office. I have also worked as a collegiate soccer coach, a wilderness instructor with Outward Bound and even spent five years working as a finish carpenter in Santa Barbara.
Our work together is geared toward paying attention, slowing down, observing thought patterns, noticing sensations, examining relationships and exploring your talents, values and skills. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, troubleshooting relationship dynamics, exploring questions about existence or tending to pain and sadness, our sessions together are aimed at helping you see more clearly and act more courageously.
