LONG Description
Lindsey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who is certified in Ecotherapy/Ecopsychology, EMDR. Trauma Focused CBT and is a certified Equine Interaction Professional. She has a forever developing practice deeply focused on depth work, personal development, women's issues and ecological change. Lindsey has a deep interest in workingwith those who desire to deeply connect with animals, nature and inherent wisdom the resides within each being. She provides an integrative approach with extensive training with integrative and depth oriented therapies, somatic practice, women's issues, chronic illness, trauma and self development. Lindsey strongly encourages a treatment team approach for her client's in recovery from eating disorders, complex trauma and other struggles. Lindsey uses nature, community, wisdom of Earth and sound clinical practice to help support her client's in getting in touch with their deeper sense of being, embodiment and purpose. Lindsey believes that each person who comes into her office has the capacity to heal and everything they need within to heal. Her job as a psychotherapist is to support her client's in finding self knowing, wisdom, compassion, grace, humility and resolution in their journey. She believes in the human capacity to love, transform the Self and world through radical self-love and acceptance.
Lindsey is currently working with teens 13 and up for equine facilitated psychotherapy. She is seeing adults in her private practice. Her practice is focused on working with individuals who seek change and who are not treatment resistant. She uses an integrative approach of therapies to support her client's in healing and transformation. She also leads one day equine events and will soon be offering retreats. She is a Wilderness First Responder and continues her studies to lead rites of passage work in wild and beautiful landscapes. She has participated in School of Lost Boarders events and is undergone their trainings. Her work is informed by their practices.
Lindsey is on the advisory board and was President of Eating Disorder Recovery Support in 2020-2021, Vice President in 2019-2020, Treasurer 2017-2020 and involved 6 years prior. She has extensive training in complex trauma and eating disorders. She has spent thousands of hours treating trauma and eating disorders. She was trained and influenced by Carolyn Costin, Francie White and Dr. Anita Johnston.
Lindsey also has exerience in rites of passage work, grief/loss, death and dying and ecological anxiety. She works with all populations and people.
