LONG Description
I have been licensed as a marriage and family therapist since 1999, with a masters degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I believe in addressing mental health holistically, exploring the mind, body, heart, and spirit.
I attended Harvard as an undergraduate, where I majored in art history and studio art. I soon became interested in the personal lives of artists and what they were expressing in their work. This interest, as well as working as a peer counselor, led me to study psychology.
I have 14 years experience working at hospice, doing grief work with adults, families, and children. I directed the bereavement department and developed bereavement camps. I am EMDR trained and also specialize in trauma work.
A lifelong seeker, my interest in spirituality resulted in becoming certified as a spiritual director, as well as to be trained in mindfulness meditation and yoga instruction.
Most recently, I’ve received training and certification in psychedelic-assisted therapy, which shows great promise for treating intractable depression, chronic pain, existential anxiety, and trauma. I currently provide ketamine-assisted therapy and psychedelic integration services.
I’m also a visual artist and published author and enjoy working with clients facing creative blocks or wanting to access their creative potential.
My office is located near a beautiful state park, and when appropriate, we can make use of the healing capacity of nature and the outdoors.
